HOW TO MEASURE SIZE
How to find my size?
Wig Size
- For a more secure fit, every wig has adjustable Velcro or Hook straps which can adjust up to 1" larger or smaller.
- If your measurements are between sizes or do not match exactly to the chart, we suggest selecting the larger size that is closest to your measurements.
- The size of the wigs may slightly differ depending on the manufacture of the wig.
Costume Size
It is important to understand that seasonal costumes are typically designed to be worn for one or two events. They are not professional, theatrical grade costumes and are not priced as such. So while the sizing information provided by the manufacturer is generally accurate for the measurements indicated, a seasonal costume will rarely fit every person as if it were tailor-made for that person. This simply means that even though a costume may fit based on waist or hip measurements, it doesn't mean the inseam length or sleeve length will fit everybody's style with the same waist measurements. In some cases, alterations may be required and in others, you may need to order another size. And because seasonal costumes tend to run small, we suggest buying the larger size when in doubt.
Please note that different manufacturers vary their sizing slightly. If in doubt between two sizes, it's usually best to order the larger size. If you see sizing information in the Product Description of an item, that information always over-rides any information found elsewhere on our site as the sizing information in the product description is specific to that single costume and only that costume. Note too that bodysuit costumes are intended to be tight fitting.
Measuring Standards for Wiglets/Toppers
- Determine clients area of hair loss
- Using a fabric measuring tape, measure area from front to back; record results.
- Measure area from side to side; record results.
- Additional Note: Be sure to factor in clip attachment on base. There must be a sufficient amount of hair to attach a clip to. An adhesive is a secondary option.
