The Biggest Selection Of Top Quality Human Hair Wigs Online At Your Fingertips
September 29, 2021
There is no shame in being a little picky when choosing human hair wigs. Choosing wigs can be overwhelming when you have so many options to choose from. Likewise, it can be frustrating trying to order wigs online when you do not have a good selection. Everyone considers different factors when looking for a wig, whether it’s the length of the hair or the size of the cap. We have an incredible selection of Top Quality Human Hair so you can find exactly what you want without having to worry about endless hours of searching and debating. We also make it easier for our customers to consider their options for real hair wigs, so we created this helpful guide to tell you all about what you can find in our store.
Your wig size is easy to determine, all you need is a soft tape measure. Measure from your front hairline moving back to just above your ears, and then around to where your neck bends (under the occipital bone). Work back around to where you started at the front of your hairline and you have your measurement. If you are measuring over natural hair make sure it is as flat as possible to get the most accurate numbers.
Wig caps come in three sizes- petite, average, and large. Some wigs are also available in petite/average, which is helpful for those whose measurements border between the two.
The measurements for petite wigs are 51 cm and 54 cm, or 20 to 21.25 inches.
The measurements for average-sized wigs are 54 cm to 57 cm or 21.25 to 22.5 inches. As the name implies, the average length is the most common wig size.
Larger wigs are anything over 57 cm or 22.5 to 24 inches.
The three types of wigs that we carry are human hair, human hair blend, and Remy hair.
Wigs made of real human hair have the same natural texture and movement, making it almost impossible to differentiate between the two. They are especially popular amongst those who want to hide the fact that they are wearing a wig. Because they are made of natural hair they are washed and heat-treated similarly, but they require significantly less washing due to the lack of oils found in the scalp. On average, wigs made of real hair last longer than any other type of wig when properly cared for.
Human hair blends contain both natural hair and synthetic fibers. This combination has the natural look and feel of human hair while holding a style longer than synthetic wigs do. They are much lighter than a full human hair wig, making them appear just as natural but without the added weight.
Remy is often mistaken for a brand name when in truth it refers to a unique property found in this type of wig. Remy wigs are also made of Top Quality Human Hair but the cuticle is still intact. This means that the follicles move in the same direction. When manufactured properly there is virtually little to no risk of tangled or matted hair.
Some of us like to have hair that is low maintenance and requires less care. Others like having more to play with to create different looks. No matter what length you prefer, we have options available for you.
One of the most obvious benefits of having short hair is that you use less product when cleaning and styling. This is just as true of wigs, both made from human hairs and synthetic fibers, as it is your own natural hair. Short human hair wigs are not as difficult to brush out longer hair, making it easier for you to remove and prevent any knots and tangles. It looks fuller and has lots of volumes, creating a look that is sassy and mature.
Medium length is incredibly versatile because it looks great regardless of whether or not it has been styled a certain way. It is also much easier to style, especially when creating updos. Our medium-length wigs are available in a more traditional, 10-inch length that settles on your shoulders, with or without bangs. You can also find bolder looks that hug the nape of your neck while framing your face.
Long hair might require a little more maintenance, but when you properly care for real hair wigs then the effort is absolutely worth the outcome! Longer hair can be used to create so many different looks since you have more to work with. Just about any style is made possible. It has a year-round appeal since it keeps your neck warm in the winter while also providing you with that fun beach look in the summertime. Unlike short and medium length hair, long hair never struggles with excess volume and that length lends itself to the strength necessary to prevent breakage.
Our selection of human hair wigs is available in straight, wavy, and curly textures. Wavy and curly wigs require a little extra maintenance, despite being immune to the weather like regular hair. You need to use a wide-toothed comb and a detangler or you will make your wig frizzy. The restore of Curls can be a very time-consuming process, so keep that in mind if you ever find yourself needing to restore them.
Wig construction refers to the inside of the wig. This aspect of wigs can be very confusing to newcomers.
100% hand-tied wigs are, as the name suggests, made by sewing each individual natural strand or synthetic fiber to the mesh cap. There are no seams or wefts on these types of wigs so they are preferred by people who have experienced total hair loss since they don’t irritate the scalp.
Lace front wigs create a natural-looking hairline. The primary benefit here is that you keep the hair out of your face without having to worry about people seeing the wig. Since they are made using lace, you must handle them very carefully. If you struggle with hair loss along your front hairline, Lace Front will be working fine.
Monofilament wigs use either polyester or nylon to allow your skin color to remain visible, creating the illusion of a natural scalp. Hairs are tied individually so they look and move naturally. They are lightweight, soft, and keep your head cool, making them perfect for shoppers who have sensitive scalps.
Traditional and capless are open cap wigs or wefted wigs. They are ideal in the summer since they provide better ventilation, keeping your scalp nice and cool. Capless wigs require less construction, making them quite popular because their prices tend to be on the lower side. However, these wigs are harder to style and are visible at times.
Skin part wigs experienced a surge in popularity when they first hit the market a few years ago, as they were considered high-end. They are much less common these days, but that won’t stop us from making sure our customers still have the ability to consider them. The hair comes out vertically just like in monofilament caps, which is how hair grows naturally. You can part the hair anywhere without making the plastic base visible.
We all have preferences when it comes to hairstyles. Different styles can create a fun and youthful look, a mature and timeless look, or frame our face to accentuate our facial features. We have wigs available in every style you could possibly want!
While price and material often reflect the quality of a product, more often than not shoppers will make a selection based on their familiarity with certain brands. Many companies know this and thrive on the power of brand loyalty by consistently providing their customers with the best products. We like to give our shoppers the same experience, which is why we carry a large assortment of only the most trusted names on the market.
If you prefer to choose your wigs based on the brand, then simply set our search feature to filter by brand instead. Of course, we carry Jon Renau and Raquel Welch wigs, but those are only two of the amazing brands you will find in our store. We also carry the following brands of human hair wigs for you to choose from:
- Louis Ferre
- Wig Pro
