One of the things to consider when buying clip extensions is the color of your hair. You must ensure that they match your natural hair color. If you can’t find any, then you can just choose to dye them. However, make sure that they are made from real hair. Otherwise, you’ll just damage the hair. 

Once you have these extensions, you may brush the hair from the end to detangle them. If they are knotted, use a wide-toothed comb first before brushing. You may only apply a heat protectant if the extensions are made for real human hair. On the other hand, if they are made of synthetic fibers, make sure to read the package to find out whether or not they are heat-resistant. Keep in mind that synthetic fibers may melt. 

Apply the Extensions 

To apply these extensions, first section the hair below your ears. Use a rat-tail comb to do it. Pull everything above it up into a bun. Start inserting the weft of the extension into your hair, below the part. Snap open the clips on your weft. Then, position it right over the horizontal part before sliding the combos into your hair.

Short or Thin Hair 

If you have short hair, then clip extensions are ideal to make your hair look longer. But make sure that the extensions’ color matches your natural hair color. Another trick here is to use a shade lighter. This is especially useful if you want an ombre effect. To do it, make sure to go one to two shades lighter. If the hair ends are lighter, match the extensions to them. 

You may use hairspray if the extensions keep slipping. Before adding the extensions, you must allow the hairspray to dry first. To match the hair texture, curl or straighten these hair accessories.
