How Should You Style Heat-Friendly Human Hair Wigs?
April 06, 2023

Thanks to human hair wigs, changing your look has become a lot easier. Wigs let you modify your style without making radical changes to your hair. They are available in various sizes, styles, and colors. Because of the various options available, you are guaranteed to find a wig that you will love.
Styling Human Hair Wigs
Human hair wigs are naturally heat resistant. The reason for this is that the organic fibers can take heat. Styling them is fun. Wearing your wig is also a creative way to change up your look. There are many ways to style a wig. You can add curls, waves, or simply keep it straight.
Start with a Clean and Dry Wig
Before you style your wig, it is vital to ensure it is clean and dry. To clean it, you may wash it with a wig shampoo and conditioner designed for this type of wig. This is to ensure that the hair stays soft and manageable. After you finish washing the wig, make sure to apply conditioner. Pat it dry with a towel before allowing it to air dry before styling.
Apply Heat Protectant
If you plan to use heat styling tools, like curling iron or flat iron, it is vital to utilize a heat protectant spray. It will help in preventing damage to the hair. It also keeps the wig looking healthy and shiny. Spray the product onto the wig before using any heat-styling tools.

Use a Specific Comb
When you style your wig, it is vital to use a wig brush. Doing so will prevent tangles and breakage. It will also help in distributing the heat evenly. Gently comb or brush through the hair, starting from the ends and working your way up to the roots.
Add Curls or Waves
To add curls or waves to your wig, you may use a curling iron or hot rollers. Start by dividing the hair into small sections and wrapping it around the curling iron or roller. Just hold it for a few seconds before releasing it. Continue doing it until you have curled all the hair.
Straighten the Hair
Another way to style your wig is to use a flat iron to straighten the hair. You can start at the roots and glide the iron slowly down the length of the hair. Be sure to use a heat protectant spray to prevent damaging the hair.
Add Volume
If you wish to add volume to your wig, you may use a volumizing mousse or spray. Apply it to the roots of the hair and use your fingers to work it through. After that, you can start blow-drying the hair using a round brush to add volume and lift.
Finish with a Styling Product
To finish off your styled wig, use a styling product, like serum or hairspray, to add shine and hold. Spray or apply the product lightly. Be careful not to use too much as it can weigh down the hair.
